Acceptable Use Policy
Acceptable Use Policy
This policy explains what is and isn't allowed when using HearQA. It complements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By using HearQA you agree to use it lawfully, respectfully, and in line with this policy.
What HearQA is
HearQA is a home media and personal-assistant app delivered as a web app. It helps you discover and play media (music, live TV, movies, news) and with everyday tasks — answering questions, reading and summarizing your own documents, finding information, and providing voice transcription and on-screen answers during conversations and self-study. It is a supportive tool: it does not replace your own knowledge, judgment, or professional, legal, medical, or financial advice.
Using AI responsibly
HearQA uses artificial intelligence to generate answers, transcriptions, and suggestions. Like all AI systems, it may produce errors or incomplete information. Verify anything important before relying on it, and use your own judgment.
Recording & consent
Some features transcribe audio. Many places require the consent of one or all parties before a conversation is recorded or transcribed, and these laws vary by country and region. You are solely responsible for understanding and following the recording and consent laws that apply to you. When in doubt, get clear consent from everyone involved before using transcription features.
Follow the rules that apply to you
If an organization, school, employer, platform, or institution you belong to has its own rules about using AI or third-party tools, it is your responsibility to know and follow them. You are responsible for how you choose to use HearQA.
Prohibited uses
You may not use HearQA to:
- Break any law or regulation, or help anyone else do so.
- Infringe anyone's intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights — including uploading or distributing content you don't have the rights to.
- Impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or affiliation.
- Create or spread fraudulent, deceptive, harassing, hateful, or harmful content.
- Generate or distribute malware, or attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
- Record or transcribe people without the consent required by applicable law.
- Circumvent usage limits, billing, or access controls — for example by creating multiple accounts.
- Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission.
Media & third-party sources
HearQA helps you find and play media from free, legal third-party sources and from sources you connect yourself. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to access any source you add, and for using media in line with the rights-holder's terms and your local laws. See our Copyright & Takedown policy to report infringement.
Enforcement
If we believe you have violated this policy, we may warn you, suspend, or permanently terminate your account, and remove offending content — at our reasonable discretion to protect our users and the platform.
